My grandparents got me my first camera as a 5th birthday present, and I have been intrigued by photography ever since then. I love the ability to capture scenes different from how we humans typically see them. Whether it be slowing down time or completely freezing it, I always striving for that perfect shot to tell the story in front of the lens.
With almost 1.2 trillion photos taken in 2016 alone (or about 40,000 a second), it can be hard to stand out. Among them all, I try to find the most unique angles, compositions, and exposures when photographing my subjects. YouTube has been one of the most important tools enabling me to learn and improve my photography throughout the years. You really can learn anything from the online collection of videos at your disposal! I try not to go anywhere without my camera, even if I am confident I won’t need it. The worst feeling is missing the shot. My family travels a lot and I find these places are the best to photograph because of the all new and unique scenes we encounter. I also enjoy skiing and hiking in Vermont, another great place to photograph. I recently graduated from the Rivers School in Massachusetts, and am starting at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. I am majoring in mechanical engineering, but am excited to continue pursuing my passion for photography in college. There is a whole other part of the country and many opportunities to explore! Please follow along my journey, currently at 170,000+ shots and counting! Located in Brookline, MA; Woodstock, VT; and Baltimore, MD View Resume |
